Privacy Policy — Reclaimed Motherhood
Kendra Blake, trading as Reclaimed Motherhood
This privacy policy sets out how Kendra Blake, trading as Reclaimed Motherhood, uses and protects any personal information that you provide to us.
I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Where I ask you to provide information by which you can be identified — when enquiring about my services, signing up to my mailing list, or joining a Reclaimed Motherhood container — you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this policy.
This policy is effective as from 17/07/26 and applies to all personal data processed in connection with Reclaimed Motherhood.
This policy is written in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025).
WHO WE ARE
Data Controller: Kendra Blake (sole trader, trading as Reclaimed Motherhood)
Contact email: kendra@kendrablake.co
I am the Data Controller for all personal information collected through my website, mailing list, and services. As a sole trader processing personal data electronically, I am required to register with and pay the annual data protection fee to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). My ICO registration number is: ZB674779
WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA
I collect and process your personal data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:
Consent — when you sign up to my mailing list or submit a contact or enquiry form, you consent to me using that data to respond to you and to send you relevant communications.
Contract — when you purchase or participate in a Reclaimed Motherhood container, processing your information is necessary to deliver the service you have agreed to.
Legitimate interests — for the technical operation, security, and improvement of my website, where this does not override your rights and freedoms.
Legal obligation — where I am required to retain records under professional regulatory obligations (see How Long We Keep Your Data below).
Where I process special category data (including health and mental wellbeing information) in the context of providing services with a clinical occupational therapy component, I rely on Article 9(2)(h) of the UK GDPR (processing for the purposes of health or social care) together with Schedule 1, paragraph 2 of the Data Protection Act 2018, given my registration as a qualified Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Such data is processed under a professional duty of confidentiality.
WHAT WE COLLECT
I may collect the following information:
Contact and identification details: your name and email address, provided when you enquire about services, register interest in a container, or subscribe to my mailing list.
Registration and consent information: details you provide when completing intake or registration forms prior to joining a Reclaimed Motherhood container.
Wellbeing and personal information: information you choose to share during container sessions, between-session communications, reflection forms, or homework activities. This may include information relating to your mental health, emotional wellbeing, life circumstances, and personal history.
Clinical information (where applicable): where I am providing services within my scope of practice as an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist, this may include health-related information provided by you or, with your explicit consent, by other health professionals involved in your care.
Technical data: information about your visits to my website, including pages visited, time spent, and general geographic location. This data is generally anonymous or pseudonymous and is used to understand how the site is used and to maintain its security.
WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER
I require this information for the purpose of:
Responding to your enquiries and communications
Delivering the Reclaimed Motherhood container programme and any associated resources and support
Professional record-keeping, where I am providing services in my capacity as an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
Sharing information with relevant health professionals, where necessary and where you have given explicit consent to do so
Sending you information via my mailing list (newsletters, updates, and programme information), where you have subscribed and consented to receive these
Internal reflection, programme development, and outcome monitoring
Compliance with legal and professional regulatory obligations
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Communication with you
When you contact me by email, via a contact form, or through social media, I will use your information to respond to your message and fulfil your request. I will not use that information to add you to my mailing list without your separate, explicit consent.
Mailing list
I operate a mailing list to share programme updates, resources, and occasional offers. You can subscribe through my website. If you wish to change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time, you can do so by clicking the "unsubscribe" or "update preferences" link in any email I send, or by contacting me directly at kendra@kendrablake.co. Unsubscribing will not affect the continuation of any service you are receiving from me.
Container sessions and programme delivery
When you join a Reclaimed Motherhood container, I collect and hold the information necessary to deliver the programme. This includes any materials you complete, reflections you share within the container space, and communications we have during the programme period. Group sessions are held via a secure video call platform (Zoom) — please see that platform's own privacy policy for information about how it handles your data.
I do not record container sessions without your prior knowledge and explicit written consent. If recording is ever proposed, you will be informed in advance of the purpose, how the recording will be stored, and how long it will be retained, and you will have the right to withhold consent without this affecting your participation.
Technical use of your information
My website collects data about visits in order to understand how the site is used, optimise the user experience, and maintain security. This may include data collected through website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or a similar service). Data collected for this purpose is generally anonymised or pseudonymised. You can find more information about how Google Analytics handles data on Google's privacy page.
SPECIAL CATEGORY DATA
Some of the information you share with me — particularly during container sessions or intake forms — may constitute special category data under UK GDPR, including data relating to your mental health, physical health, or personal history.
I treat this information with the highest level of care. It is:
Processed only to the extent necessary for the service I am providing to you
Held securely and separately from general contact information where practicable
Never shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where I am required to do so by law or where there is a serious risk of harm
Where my involvement with you has a clinical occupational therapy component, I am bound by the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics and a professional duty of confidentiality. I may, in exceptional and clearly defined circumstances (such as a serious safeguarding concern), be required to share information without your consent. I will always endeavour to inform you before doing so, unless doing so would put you or another person at risk.
SECURITY
I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. I have put in place appropriate electronic and procedural measures to protect the personal information I hold, including use of encrypted communication and secure file storage. I regularly review these measures to ensure they remain appropriate.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe that your data held by me has been compromised, please contact me immediately at kendra@kendrablake.co.
HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
I retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy:
Mailing list data: retained until you unsubscribe. I may periodically review inactive subscribers and remove them from the list.
General enquiry and contact data: retained for a reasonable period following the conclusion of our correspondence, typically no longer than two years, unless you become a client.
Container participant records (non-clinical): retained for a period of two years from the end of the container, after which they will be securely deleted unless you request otherwise.
Clinical occupational therapy records: where I have provided services in my capacity as an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist, professional guidance for England requires that adult health records are kept for a minimum of eight years from the date of last contact. After this period, your records will be securely destroyed unless you request otherwise.
Note: Record retention requirements can vary based on the nature of the service provided and applicable professional and legal obligations. If you have questions about how long specific data about you is held, please contact me.
YOUR RIGHTS UNDER UK GDPR
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
The right to access — you may request a copy of the personal data I hold about you (known as a Subject Access Request).
The right to rectification — if you believe any information I hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may ask me to correct it.
The right to erasure — in certain circumstances, you may request that I delete your personal data. Please note that this right is not absolute and may be limited by professional or legal obligations (such as clinical record retention requirements).
The right to restrict processing — you may ask me to limit how I use your data in certain circumstances.
The right to data portability — where processing is based on your consent or a contract, you may ask me to provide your data in a portable format.
The right to object — you may object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. You also have an absolute right to object to your data being used for direct marketing.
The right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact me at kendra@kendrablake.co. I will aim to respond within one calendar month of receiving your request.
CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
I will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless I have your explicit permission or am required by law to do so.
The only circumstances in which your information may be shared are:
With other health professionals involved in your care, where you have given explicit written consent
Where required by law or regulatory obligation
With third-party service providers (such as my email platform or website host) who process data on my behalf under appropriate data processing agreements — these parties are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes
If you would like a copy of the personal information I hold about you, or if you believe any information is incorrect or incomplete, please contact me at kendra@kendrablake.co. I will take all reasonable steps to correct or update your information promptly.
